Support for Victims of Crime
The Victim Care Unit is a service run by police to help people deal with and recover from the impact of crime. The service is a single point of contact for victims of crime. If you are a victim of crime then the service can provide an in-depth assessment of your needs and refer you to another organisation which will give you the best support. The service is still available even if your crime is not being actively investigated.
If you are a victim of crime and are using the Victim Care Unit service you will be contacted by a victim care officer. If appropriate, the victim care officer may refer you to Headway Devon so that we can offer support.
