We know that adjusting to life after surviving a brain injury can be challenging. Memory problems, visual disturbance, blinding headaches, muscle weakness, dizziness, fatigue, communication difficulties, personality changes and anxiety are common effects and make living with a brain injury difficult. Executive impairments, which affect decision making and problem solving skills, can impact everyday living and may not become evident until after leaving hospital.
Our range of support services help improve people’s experiences and outcomes after brain injury, so they can live as well as possible for as long as possible. There are an estimated 80,000 brain injury survivors living in Somerset, and many more who are impacted. If you are one of them and could benefit from our support please do read about the services we offer and contact us to find out more.
