Volunteering

We are looking for caring and enthusiastic volunteers to help provide additional support for our clients, for both individuals and groups. Volunteers who can assist with a variety of activities, for example: cookery, art, music, literacy, upcycling furniture. No qualifications or particular skills are required, but patience, enthusiasm, commitment and a caring are essential. We seek individuals who are compassionate and empathetic, people who can help our clients to regain their independence after a brain injury and to work towards greater independence.

Volunteering at Headway Plymouth offers the opportunity for personal development and the experience of working with adults who have survived an acquired brain injury. The role may be of particular interest to those involved in psychology, social care, nursing and medicine, particularly university students studying any of these fields. All you need is 3-4 hours or more per week

If you enjoy meeting and engaging with people, participating in different activities with other people, then this role would be ideal for you and we would love to hear from you.
