On Friday 17th July we celebrated the opening of our new and first ever garden space at Headway House.
From planning meetings in January, to groundworks in March, to carpentry in May, planting in June and our grand opening party on 17th July.
It’s been six months of joyful team work and growing excitement across the Headway Plymouth team and clients as the space took shape.
Massive thanks must go to the amazing team of project managers from Babcock International Group who drew all of the parts of the project together from start to finish.
Thank you to the Doocey Group – to Dave, Kirstie, Georgia and Roger for your expertise, support and investment in the project.
The construction couldn’t have happened without the talented folk at YGS Landscapes Ltd
(Thanks to Steve, Jason and the team) to BirdsCarpentry (where Joe and his team dropped everything to get stuck in – flexing and adapting where necessary) and to Bond Timber for the generous supply of the timber that looks so amazing.
We couldn’t have got the new design and planting done without the fabulous support of Alex Watson from Forgotten Corner Garden Design and our long standing activity partner, Laura Bell-Hodges from Nature Plymouth who’s kindly offered to continue to support the garden project with client activities that will see the space grow and change.
Finally, thanks also to Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest, Plymouth Octopus – POP and Food Is Fun CIC for collaborating with us to provide further funding and support for the creation of our first ever outside space for our clients.
That’s enough for today. We probably missed somebody – but to all of you that played a role in getting this project over the line, we are eternally grateful.
Now look at a ton of lovely photos!
