Tuesday
For a change the clients took part in a word wheel game, whereby you had to think of a several four-letter words, a nine-letter word. However, all the words had to consist of a certain letter. I’d thought I was doing so well, but then I realised that I’d misread the question, so it was back to square one. However, I did get some right and it was a good challenge for me and the others, so I’m sure we’ll do that again. Apart from that I played Uno and my favourite – Scrabble. When playing Scrabble, we don’t play for points, as clients do tend to get too competitive and things can get too heated.

Wednesday
Wednesday isn’t one of my usual days at Headway, but I’ve been wanting to meet other clients on a different day for a while now. I do voluntary work every other Wednesday in Tavistock, so it was a good opportunity for me to see have a bit more variation. I had met one of the clients on an outing to Mount Edgcumbe a while ago, so it was good to catch up with him again. Clients helped to make a bolognaise to go with pasta and salami pieces that we got from Fareshare Southwest. Very tasty indeed!
Friday
Today, Megan did some gentle exercise with us, which I always look forward to. I also did some research for new kitchen equipment as Headway got a grant and, as it’ll be having a new kitchen soon, it makes sense. I can certainly see why Amazon’s so popular! I did have the pasta and bolognaise for lunch again – I don’t usually eat pasta these days, as I had too much of it on a diet many years ago but, as it was well-disguised with the bolognaise, I managed to.
