Karen Walker, our fantastic Trustee and Treasurer, is running next year’s TCS London Marathon for Headway Plymouth.
Following in the footsteps of our Chairman, we were fortunate enough to secure one further place for the 2026 event in the TCS London Marathon 2026 charity ballot.
Karen is a passionate runner and has clocked up a number of 10ks and Half Marathons – but this is Karen’s first large scale road marathon and she is thrilled to have secured a place in London 2026 – given how tricky it is to bag a place in the public ballot.
Karen’s Story
I’m raising money for Headway Plymouth, which is a local charity who support people (and their families) with acquired brain injuries.
It’s an amazing charity that’s very close to my heart as they have supported my cousin, Neil, who suffered a traumatic brain injury following an accident at work approximately 35 years ago.
I have been privileged to be a trustee of the charity since 2015 and treasurer for the last 4 years. Any donation you are able to make will be greatly appreciated by Headway Plymouth!
