We were so delighted to host a team from Spotlight South West last month who joied us to learn about how we use our kitchen and work with our brilliant collaborators, Food is Fun CIC and Fareshare South West to use food to re-enable our clients around all aspects of nutrition, budgeting, menu planning, shopping, food preparation, cooking and storage.
Claire and the team from Spotlight spent almost three hours at the centre as Tami from Food is Fun CIC worked with the clients and the team to produce, from scratch, some amazing apple chutney sausage rolls, a seasonal coleslaw and some delicious spiced apple muffins.
Claire interviewed the team but spent some lovely time also talking to our clients who did a fantastic job of telling their brain injury stories and how Headway Plymouth has supported them back towards independent living.
